Geothermal Potential Study Currently in Progress
On June 20, 2023, an agreement was signed for the 'Geothermal Potential Study' with the consortium of bidders GEODA CONSULTING d.o.o. and CALIDA AQUA d.o.o.
The geothermal potential study will consolidate a detailed interpretation of all available data (geological, geophysical, petrophysical, hydrodynamic, etc.) accessible in the Hydrocarbon Agency's database. It will also include the results of measurements taken using the magneto-telluric survey method conducted between January 10th and 23rd, 2024, before and after the drilling and testing of the exploratory well Vukovar GT-1.
The study will present a clearer picture of the geothermal potential, resulting in a geological and numerical simulation model of the geothermal reservoir. This model will serve as the basis for assessing reserves of geothermal water and developing plans for its exploitation."
The project's total value is €259,470.62, of which non-refundable amount of funds is €217,330.02 (83.76%).
The project is led by the City of Vukovar, Croatia, with a project partner, EFLA Consulting Engineers from Iceland.
The project implementation period is from April 13, 2022, to April 12, 2024.
